A variation on our best-selling Rangoon lamp the Samarkand floor lamp has an exquisitely shaped steel stand and a basket shade originally used as a fishing net by Thai fisherman. The hanging shade also has a fabric inner lining creating a diffuse light source. We call it a floor lamp but it would be equally suitable as a large table lamp. The circular design of the base allows you to place a vase or other object right underneath the lamp shade when placed on a table.
