Burmese Colonial Era Art Deco Teak and Rattan Armchair
Burmese Colonial Era Art Deco Teak and Rattan Armchairs
Product Information:
Made in Burma sometime during the early part of the 20th Century, these chairs have been carefully restored and refinished and would be a highlight in a conservatory, hallway, study or anywhere needing an occasional chair. The elegant curvaceous design is the result of the Art Deco influence on furniture making which peaked during the 1920's. Rangoon was a centre for the production of this kind of furniture because of the availability of teak and other desirable woods.
Original teak with replacement rattan seat and back.
Very comfortable conservatory or occasional seating.
